“The Family Corner” is a multimedia-oriented spatial design project that explores how a small, intentionally designed area within the home can enhance emotional connection among family members.In the context of modern urban living, where individuals are increasingly absorbed in personal devices and isolated routines, this project addresses the growing lack of meaningful family interaction. Instead of focusing on large-scale architectural changes, the project proposes a micro-space solution that integrates spatial design, behavioral triggers, and subtle multimedia elements to encourage shared experiences.Positioned between the living room and kitchen, the Family Corner acts as an emotional hub where daily interactions naturally occur. The design incorporates warm lighting, flexible furniture, and an interactive wall, creating a comfortable environment that supports both active engagement and quiet presence. Multimedia elements such as projection and audio systems are integrated to enhance, rather than dominate, the experience.Through this approach, the project demonstrates that meaningful connection does not require more space, but rather thoughtful design. “The Family Corner” transforms an ordinary area into a powerful catalyst for bonding, co-creation, and everyday family memories.
